Rockesha Survival

After a long week of hearing all the guys on the job talk about how Bambi doesn't stand a chance I took the opportunity to ride with Ronsta and roughly 30 others last night. The ride was mostly uneventful. Near the end I thought my front tire was on the trail. Unfortunately it was on the edge of the pavement and the grass and it found a deep enough groove at an angle to throw me down at about 18mph or so. I landed mostly on my left side and after being left for dead the group headed to a cozy mexican place in downtown Rockesha.

Last night the shoulder was feeling like I had broken the collar bone again. This morning I went to UW Hospital Urgent Care and had a qualified medical professional look at it and some x-rays were taken. Turns out I have a Grade 1 Acromio-Clavicular Separation, which is basically a sprain. That takes a load off my mind.  My knee is a bit sprained too, but I'm not worried. I'll take it easy, it that's possible.

yeah, that looks about like I felt 4-5 days after checking a tree at Muir.. Doc said it was a hockey injury. I'll just bet that fancy name means the same thing.

Dude, and I'd decided to bring my shoes, pedals, helmet & other gear to ride, 'cause the weather actually looked like it might be rideable. I suppose a ride with me could classify as "taking it easy" since I'm fat & out of shape, though.

I feel so bad that I missed you laying on the ground in agony. It's times like that when hecklin' is at it's best.

It would have been broken had I not provided suga magic when I assisted you!
