R & R

The first two days of Co0o0op Camp wasn't too bad on my legs and trail sense. By mid-ride Sunday I was beginning to feel fatigued. The most common was being too late on the brakes resulting in mid corner front tire traction problems. Negotiating the rocks began to prove difficult as well.

While the trails at Standing Rocks suck
(don't go there folks. you'll hate me for suggesting them so just head on over to the Elroy-Sparta trail and ride there.) they do have them divided into sections. I don't remember at what point I decided to back off the pace and try to recover. I thought if I alternated sections with hard effort/recovery I'd make it through the day and enjoy the pain more. That worked more or less.

I'll keep an eye on Ronsta's flicker and Russell's Blog for their images of the Co0o0op Camp. Or you could do that yourself.

Yesterday I rode easy around the lake loop for about 2 hours. There were an overabundance of college students running, skating and riding so it was a bit like dodging trees and rocks.

Today I think I'll head over to Cam-Rock. I'll ride the main trail but I might go across the river/creek and ride the 'Cross trail.

Dammit.
