Co0o0op Camp

Since it was all Co0o0op's idea he's going to get the blame for this weekend. Rick & Liz, Ronsta & Kelli, Co0o0op & Ann, Russell, Kyle, Danny, Angie, Harold, Christine and I gathered at Levis for a bit of riding.

I got there Friday morning to secure the camp sites and to get some solo trail time. I rode the Flyte twice and got about 3 hours of trail time. Rick and Liz arrived before dark and we hung out until bed time. On Saturday everyone rolled in before lunch. We had a good group climb to a scenic overlook where there was foreshadowing. A flock of buzzards was circling at eye level. I tried to get one to land on my arm, but since I wasn't dead yet he wouldn't. Then we divided up into two groups, non-competitive and largely competitive. Ronsta lead the way for us and it sucked. The consensus was the trails were crap and we were crazy for coming. Next year we'll invite more people to suffer the trails with us.

Sunday we wagon trained across the state to Standing Rocks. By we, I mean everyone but Rick, Liz and Kyle. Bubba said the trail hotline said SR was closed but a call from us told us otherwise. We zipped over and mounted the bikes again. Bubba and his brood joined us so the absence of Rick, Liz and Kyle was not felt for long. As we readied Scott Cole emerged from the trail and we twisted his arm to do another lap with us. Again we divided into two groups and again we rode incredibly shitty trails.

Good times.

Don't trust Angie. She'll lie and tell you what good trails they are and then others will overhear and THEN we'll have so many people trying to ride on the incredibly shitty trails.

Let sleeping dogs lie. Lye? Lay? Lays? Can't eat just one. Mmmmm potatoe chips from Indiana.
