"Indiana is beige"

The fears brought on by the "storm of the century" abated once morning came. The Rusty Tool Shed served as a rally point for us and after minor delays, modifications and coffee we were off to Indianapolis for the NAHMBS.

Put your arms over your head and yell.

It was sort of snowing on the way through the Windy City but the Sears Tower was visible.

"Crossroads of America" is a better motto than the "Welcome to Hell" sign we saw a few miles later. I promise to get a shot of that on the way back.

When we walked in the convention center there were dozens of "Princesses" everywhere. When I asked if I could take a photo they lined up as you see quicker than I could blink. It was frightening.
The hotel is surrounded by genuine pave. (Indy 500 aka "The Brick Yard"...duh)After a quick trip to the show we hopped on the bikes and went to dinner at the Rathskellar (click here Sephie) a few blocks away. It was like a nicer version of the Essen Haus in Madison. We had great food and beverages and I limited myself to one beer (click here again Sephie) After dinner we rode back to the hotel via the downtown tour of monuments. There's at least 3 plus an impressive state capital building. The monument below has a fairly large traffic circle around it made entirely of bricks and many of them are plenty loose. After the show tomorrow TmonT and I are organizing an impromptu "miss and out" for all the attendees. I think the field will number roughly 6000.

I'm going to have to figure out how to enable my slideshow feature for all the photos I'll be taking tomorrow.
