The 4 day weekend for most folks wasn't much of a vacation for me. I worked on the bathroom some more which wasn't bad. The hard stuff is done and by that I mean the actual construction. The need for power tools is over. It's all finish work now. I grouted Saturday. I wired in the radiant floor heater and got the last piece of drywall up. One or two more coats of drywall mud and it should be ready for priming and painting. Then the lighting goes in followed by the plumbers and then the last of the trim work around the window. At some point I need to work out the shower curtain.
This last year, well, actually a lot longer, I've been living with past decisions, the wrong ones. I know I'm no different than any other person in most respects, but I've got work to do. I know it's stuff I need to do by myself, so there's no way to delegate.
Not being an alcoholic or a christian I won't say this prayer fits the bill, but the intent should help provide the direction I need.
"God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, and wisdom to know the difference."
So much for the serious portion of the day. Below is the rider we all want to be.
