Weather in the Midwest is typically wet this time of year and this first weekend in June is living up to expectations. Before Sephie was born I used to go to Elkhart Lake for the AMA weekend and get a contact high from the race gas being consumed by stoopid fast bikes in between squalls. This weekend is no exception and yesterday was the tip of the iceberg. As the day progressed it got darker and wetter.
I was lucky enough to have a window of opportunity to break in the new grill. Fella appeared when I set the first piece of meat on the flames. He supervised the grilling and came for the duration of the storms.
Because one grey cat isn't enough when the weather turns, Rushmore came over for a catnip fix. He resides across the street but the cat perch wasn't occupied so he took that to be a sign for him to make an appearance.
Today will be a good day for inside activities for Sephie's 8th Birthday. She wants to see "Kung Fu Panda", shop at the mall with her birthday money, and go bowling. Sounds like a plan to me.
