Yesterday's ride was something else. The steady winds out of the south made for little ring grinding (39-16 mostly) but the load was high. Last week the lake was much calmer than yesterday's white caps and spray on the bike path.

A little something for TmonT and Nick out in the back yard. Even country boys need a half pipe.

This I didn't expect to see. Free range Flamingos in Wisco.

I had to get a picture of these two. I can see them the night before on the edge of the road, pile of empty PBR cans at their feet. Skunk : "I'll bet I can make it further than you." Raccoon : "I'll bet you can't. Hey 'Possum, give us a 'ready, set, go."

After 2 hours of riding I hooked up with the Bombay Bike Club ride in Oregon. The route was to be a simple south for 10 miles, east for 5 and back north 10. Brian (in the red) and I rode two-abreast for our small group the whole ride. His GF Amy on our wheels chattering away, but in a pleasant way. They're good people.

With Brian and I pulling we left navigation to the others. Our only wrong turn was up hill on Mortensen Road. We got to the top and there was a sign for a historic school. I didn't think it warranted a picture, but directly across the road was this house. At least I think it's a house. It looks a lot like a school if you ask me. Just because an architect designs something, doesn't mean it should be built.

As we rolled into Oregon I was running out of daylight. It was nice to have a push home by the wind, but the sunset at the top of Cty MM on the edge of Madison was worth the shot.

That's the kind of house I'd be willing to live in.
