Here's all you'll get from me in the way of whining.
Whine, whine, whine. Bitch and moan. Whine.
There, I got it out of my system. I had a good time. It was typical 'cross, dammit. It was fast and painful and I enjoyed it all.
Saturday I think I was faster than I was Sunday. Both days I was dead last in the Single Speed race, but I felt faster Saturday and wasn't pulled. I did have the intention of racing the 35+ (1,2,3's) but holy shit, they let some truly fast guys register.
The Wisco crew represented well. Cupcake and Pilgrim had a good battle (quite amusing really) both days. Lyle got yet another UCI slap on the wrist doing a beer bong from a skull/spine at the top of the climb. Matter, Marco, James and Tristan were a thrill to watch both days. Co0o0op warned us 20 minutes before the rains came on Sunday, It made the course a bit damp but it didn't factor in the results. The women raced just as hard and it was exciting to see Alison Sydor be the first to ride the railroad tie run-up. I
The second day had changes that made the course faster IMHO. I liked the new version of the run-up on the hill mostly because I was able to ride it in the 39x17. It hurt like hell but I was quite satisfied at the top. If I find a picture I'll put it up. After 3 laps I was pulled. I felt okay but I didn't contest the officials.
