NAMBLA

A month from now Cupcake, Russell, TmonT and I will be hanging out at the annual NAMBLA gathering. Um, yeah. North American Makers of Bikes Lame and Adequate. Why, what were you thinking?

Off we'll go on our merry way. I resolved the cold toe issue the other day. Gander Mtn had the electric socks. But they were powered by a D cell battery in a pouch at the top of the sock. I thought by now they'd have it scaled down to a CR2032 battery by now so I decided not to get them. They did have neoprene socks and gloves which were quite reasonably priced. By that I mean cheaper than ones with Pearl Izumi logos on them. The gloves do have little stickies in the shape of running deer all over the palms, but hey, who's going to mistake me for a bow hunter?

I took the Jetta for a car wash the other day. It was beginning to look like a salt lick on wheels and since baiting of deer is illegal and I don't want to be confused with a deer hunter any more than the next guy, I took it down the street to Woodman's. I was quite happy to see not just any car can be washed. Ya gotta have standards.
