With the final touches ready at home I've turned my attention to others. The Local has a volunteer list which I'd added myself to a few weeks ago. Whether it's election related, Homes for Troops or Habitat for Humanity, the volunteers keep busy for 20 hours a week and get paid roughly half of the usual wage. But it's hard to put a price on the warm fuzzy feeling inside after the work is done. Last week I worked 26 hours (20 paid, 6 unpaid) and we finished a duplex and a half. Today we nearly finished the last half a duplex with only a few things remaining before the occupants can start moving in this weekend.
Yesterday was freakishly warm. 43 degrees and not too windy was enough temptation for me. I hopped on the Flyte and rode for a couple hours. Today was freakishly cold with single digit farenheit numbers. No riding tonight after H4H work.
